I’ve been following Angela Arnold’s advice for almost ten years now and I am happy to say that she has yet to steer me wrong!

I’m also thrilled to know that she took the time to document the knowledge and wisdom she’s derived over the years so that those of us who have been following her and want to continue doing so… can feel confident that the very same content that is found within the folds of College Admissions 411!  The Black Student’s Guide to Getting Accepted is no different than the content we would have obtained from her directly.

My daughter is now completing her second year in one of the most rigorous academic summer programs in the US and will soon begin her freshman year of high school – that’s right,High School!  The way I see it – if we continue to follow Angela Arnold’s road map and get a jump-start on the process…   my daughter’s SAT score, applications, interviews and acceptance into the schools of her choice will be reason to celebrate and certainly worth the time!

My passion is helping as many students as possible successfully navigate the complicated college admissions process. I’ve helped many students, including my own five children, enroll in and graduate from some of the most selective colleges, universities, and graduate/professional schools in the United States.  I know first-hand how stressful the college admissions process can be.

I’ve tutored and counseled students who have gone on to attend a wide variety of selective colleges and universities – ranging from Ivy League universities,to small liberal arts colleges.

Yvette O.,newspaper reporter:

When I sought out Mrs. Arnold,my goal was to have my son achieve the highest possible score on the SAT. At the time,I knew that strong scores translated into scholarship money and acceptance to the schools of our choice.

Mrs. Arnold came highly recommended by others who had used her. She did not disappoint.

For starters, she had my son take an SAT Prep Test, which she scored. This established a benchmark, gave us a sense of where he was, allowed us to identify weaknesses and set realistic goals for gains we hoped to see in the scores.

My bottom line was increasing the scores and this was my barometer for measuring success. The first time around, my son scored almost exactly where the test administered by Mrs. Arnold showed he would. The second time around, after coaching by Mrs. Arnold, his scores jumped about 100 points in each area.

As a result,we received scholarship offers. More importantly,Mrs. Arnold’s efforts have had a visible impact on my son’s success at Morehouse College, where he is majoring in finance and has been nominated for and accepted into the National Honor Society.
